Return Policy

At Curating Americana, every item we offer has a past—a story written in wool, leather, cotton, and time. We hand-select, restore, and present each garment with transparency and care. Because of the one-of-a-kind nature of vintage goods, we ask that you read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the age, rarity, and individual character of each item, all sales are final. We do not offer returns or exchanges for:

  • Fit issues (please review measurements carefully)

  • Change of mind

  • Minor signs of wear consistent with vintage garments

  • Color variations due to lighting or monitor differences

That said, we’re not in the business of surprises. Our goal is always clear, honest representation.

2. Exceptions — Item Not as Described

If you receive an item that is significantly different from what was described or shown in the listing, please contact us within 3 calendar days of delivery. To be eligible for review:

  • You must email orders@curatingamericana.com with your order number and clear photos showing the issue.

  • The item must be unworn (other than trying on), unwashed, and in the condition you received it.

  • In rare approved cases, we may offer a partial refund, store credit, or accept a return at our discretion.

3. Sizing & Fit

All garments are measured flat and listed with actual measurements—not just tagged sizes. Vintage sizing can vary widely from modern sizing. We strongly recommend comparing our measurements to a garment you already own and love.

If you need help interpreting the measurements, feel free to reach out before purchasing.

4. Shipping Damage

While we pack all items with care, damage in transit is rare but possible. If your item arrives visibly damaged due to shipping mishandling:

  • Take photographs of the packaging and item immediately.

  • Contact us at orders@curatingamericana.com within 48 hours.

  • We’ll assist in filing a claim with the carrier and exploring next steps.

5. Lost or Delayed Packages

Once a package leaves our hands, we rely on the postal or courier service to deliver it. We are not responsible for delays or lost items due to carrier error, but we will work with you to resolve the issue when possible.
